It is one of the tallest building in the US located in the western hemisphere, and it is an iconic landmark of New York. This 1776 feet tall building is also known as ‘One World Trade Center’ or ‘Freedom tower’. Freedom Tower is also considered one of the main buildings of the new World Trade Center.

This tallest building in New York is located in the lower manhattan area. This skyscraper was opened on 3 November 2014, mainly used for offices. On May 29, 2015, with the opening of One World Observatory, it is now also used for observation purposes and tourism.

It is estimated that US$3.9 Billion is spent on the construction of the One World Trade Center. With 94(+5 below ground) Floors, it covers around 3,501,274 sq ft (325,279 m2) Floor area and has 73 lifts/ elevators made by ThyssenKrupp.

Central Park Tower is the 14th tallest building in the world. That’s why I include this building in my list of the tallest building in the US. This building is also known as the ‘Nordstrom Tower‘. With 98 Floors, it covers around 1,285,308 square feet (119,409.0 m2). During the construction of the Tower, a lot of controversial things happened including the death of the security guard.

On 18 December 2019, Ice falling from the Tower injured a pedestrian. After resolving all the issues, the Tower was finally opened in July 2021.
